School Hours - Arrival & Dismissal The Pre K and Learning Center is open Monday through Friday.  We operate on the same schedule as the Catoosa County School System ( in-service days, snow days, holidays, etc.) The day your child attends is in accordance with the program in which he/she is enrolled.  Three day classes usually attend on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.  If any other three days are needed please discuss this with the Director. The morning classes are in session from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon.  Please escort your child to the room every morning at drop off time.  Persons bringing or picking up a child will need to confirm that a staff member is aware of the child’s arrival or departure.  Children will be ready to go home at 11:45 a.m. - 12:00 noon.  Each child will have a dismissal tag.  Please place this tag in your car dash of your vehicle.  Form a single line and drive under the portico.  Your child will be brought to you.  At that time please fasten your child into their car seat.  If at any time it is necessary to pick up your child without lining up, please park in the parking lot and not under the portico.  Your child will be released ONLY to persons listed  on the Enrollment Form under Release of Child.  A note needs to be sent, or a phone call made to the office and to your child’s teacher when someone other than the person who normally picks up your child is picking up your child, and that person should come to the office and show a picture identification.  Any time a child is in attendance, custodial parents are permitted access to all child care areas.  They must make their presence known to the staff before removing their child.  Everyone must register in the office if visiting other than drop-off and pick-up times. The double glass doors will open at 7:45 a.m.  The doors will be locked at 8:30 a.m. and locked while the children are here.  Please ring the doorbell or go to the church office for entry if you need to pick your child up before pick up time.  We have extended session available for children needing to come before 7:45 a.m.  If your child arrives before 7:45 a.m. or stays past 12:00 noon, you will need to go the door on the side of the Pre K and Learning Center wing near the playground.  Please bring your child on time.  Even though this is a pre-school, our day starts on time and your child feels “left out” when he/she arrives late.  Also, a child arriving late may miss out on activities and projects the teacher will not be able to repeat. Likewise, be on time to pick up your child.  We love your children, but we are also ready to assume our other duties after hours.  Our hours are set by state requirements and our teachers have no choice.  Any child arriving before 7:45 a.m. or remaining after 12:00 noon will be enrolled in Extended Care.  (Extra fees will be due for Extended Care). PARENTS WE ASK THAT YOU DO NOT LEAVE YOUR  YOUNGER CHILDREN UNATTENDED IN A PARKED CAR WHILE YOU ARE DROPPING OFF OR PICKING UP!!!
